Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is a well-known American cook book writer and Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina began her career by working in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy documents. Though she found the career to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she dropped interest and bought a tiny specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. It was a huge success for 18 years before she decided to let it go. Then she began writing the first book. A number of other books and newspaper articles were published. Her Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. In addition, she sells everything from equipment to cooking items and even containers. Ina is a self-taught cook who has never attended a cooking school, nor been in a kitchen. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining and her straightforward culinary style is widely known. Her most famous recipes are Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, the Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
