Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and author who won several Awards. Her movies comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). The daughter of a family of artists in New York she wished to work in the field of art. When she was assistant to photographers, she turned her attention to acting and modeling. She was noticed in her first two movies and won the Golden Globe Award for Most promising newcomer. MacGraw became a global celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. In just three films MacGraw became the most popular female box office actress across the globe. In Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she had her signature and hand-footprints engraved. Alongside The Getaway Convoy Players she played a part in the tv miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures is her autobiography which was published in the year 1991. MacGraw married three people.
